The litigation involving Xarelto has resulted in what we call mass tort litigation. That is, a number of plaintiffs joining the lawsuit. The lawsuits have been primarily concentrated in the state of Pennsylvania, where there’s what we call is a multidistrict litigation, and the lawsuits have also been filed in the Eastern District of Louisiana, where there’s also what we call a multidistrict litigation going on. What that means in sum, is that these classes and these cases are all being joined, I should say, into just one class.
If you think that you have a case against Xarelto, it would be wise for you to contact a lawyer as soon as possible before the time limits expire for you to file your claim. If you think that you have a claim against the manufacturers of Xarelto or have any questions or concern about the use of that particular drug, I would recommend, number one, that you continue to take the drug as prescribed. Do not stop taking the drug. However, if you have questions and you’ve suffered some serious consequences, because you’ve taken the drug and you think you might have a claim, then you’re more than welcome to call my office at 770-792-1000.
