Top Preventable Car Accident Causes in Acworth and Kennesaw

Home » Videos » Top Preventable Car Accident Causes in Acworth and Kennesaw

Hi. This is Roger Ghai and I wanted today to talk about the 15 top causes of car accident cases in the United States. The first and the primary one is distracted driving. That distracted driving oftentimes involves texting and so that cause of car accidents, that is a distracted driving can be prevented if you just stop texting. Another top cause of a car accident would be drinking and driving. Again, that’s something that too is preventable if you just don’t drink and then get into the car and turn on the ignition and start driving away after you’ve been drinking.
The third cause of accidents is speeding. Most frequently, this happens when you’re trying to hit the gas, to hit the light to make it through the intersection. This too is a preventable cause of car accidents. That is, if you’ll just stop speeding on the roadways, many, many of these accidents could be avoided. Another top cause of car accidents is driving at night and not having the proper headlights on. The other cause of accidents relating to conditions would be the rain.
Rain is a situation which you could hydroplane on your vehicle and you have to adjust your speed for the conditions at the time. Running red lights is another cause of car accidents which can be prevented. If you’re approaching in the intersection and the light is actually yellow, that means to slow down and you probably should stop before trying to go through the intersection. Of course, if you’re halfway through the intersection, you cannot stop at that point in time.
Defective or design defects in your vehicle can be another cause of a motor vehicle accident. In fact, the rollover accidents oftentimes were caused because the vehicle not being properly designed when it turned in certain instances.
Tailgating oftentimes will lead to car accidents also because the other vehicle may stop before you think that they should stop. If you’re tailgating them, you’re following too closely, you’re not keeping the proper distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of yours, then this certainly can cause an accident.
Teen driving is also a primary cause of car accidents. If your teen is not properly trained in driving as far as safety and so forth, if they’re not mature enough to be on the roads, then you want to consider that and deciding whether you’re going to hand your keys over to them. Wrong way driving is also another cause of some terrible, terrible accidents. Sometimes, people just head out in the wrong direction on the roadway and they should not. They’re going in the opposite direction.
They shouldn’t be going in that direction or whatsoever. Potholes, believe it or not, is also another cause of car accidents. If you can avoid a pothole in the road until it’s fixed, then try to avoid that at all costs. Other areas that are problems that arise in causing car accidents might be, for example, your tire could blowout or, for example, you’re approaching an animal crossing section. You’ve got to be very careful in those areas. Equally as dangerous would be a construction site.
There are specific rules regarding how you should approach those construction sites. Most of the time, there are certain warning signs that will be put out by the construction workers and believe it or not, people in their haste and waste today, in order to get from place A to place B, they avoid all of those hazard signs and they ignore them and sometimes fatality is the result.
If you’ve been involved in a motor vehicle accident and you believe that any of these factors has been a cause in your car accident, feel free to contact my office at 770-792-1000.
